5 card draw

At the start of each hand in 5 card draw, two players make a blind bet before anybody receives any cards. Players then take turn for this blind, usually the two after the dealer.

Players are then dealt five face-down cards, after they have looked at them and decided if they want to stay in the pot, a bet is placed. When all bets are called the players left in the hand can now choose to exchange any number of cards from their hand with new cards from the dealer, this is called “the draw”.

Once the draw is completed another round of betting occurs, and when all bets are called it is time for a showdown.

The winner is the player with the best pokerhand.
